Through the
Curriculum Classes required for each teacher to
attend weekly, a studio certification program can be
completed. Completion of the certification program
guarantees students that all teachers understand the
basic curriculum requirements espoused by the
studio, and are fluent in the transmission of these
ideas. As a unifying factor within the studio, the
curriculum program works to ensure that all teachers
continue to make progress in their own studies,
reaching beyond established musical knowledge and
facts into many levels of musical thought, theory
and technique. The curriculum program has been
designed by the master teacher Clara Atkins-Pope.
Various standardized and original methods of
instruction are presented through this program,
including finger exercises, theoretical exercises,
and repertoire. |
