significant works have resulted from
her passion for the Celtic harp, both sponsored by
The Kentucky Arts Council: “Soothing Melodies on
Ancient Modes”: an exploration of the use and
effect of harp music’s ethos in ancient Greek
culture and philosophy; and “Jubal’s Song” a
compilation of original works for SATB choir and
harp, illustrating the use of the harp in ancient
Hebrew society and temple worship. Both projects
resulted in live performances, CD recordings and
published manuscripts of the original compositions.
Clara is an avid composer of original works for SATB
choir, organ, and Celtic harp, having written a
variety of arrangements for these musical genres as
well. A catalog of these works can be viewed on her
website
